Stephanie Bloch is an American, Venezuelan, and French percussionist, composer, and digital artist. She performs and composes music that is immersive, nostalgic, otherworldly, and electroacoustic. Known for her well-rounded skill set as a percussionist, composer, and conductor, she brings a distinctive voice to both performance and creation.

Stephanie currently studies percussion and music technology under the tutelage of Ross Karre and Steven Kemper at Oberlin Conservatory, and previously graduated from Interlochen under the guidance of Keith Aleo. She has attended programs including the Splice Institute, So Percussion’s Summer Institute, and NYU Sandbox’s Seminar, and has interned with Third Coast Percussion.

Her performance career has taken her across the United States to venues such as Lincoln Center, the Adrienne Arsht Center, and the New World Center. She was also a winner of the New World Symphony Side-By-Side Concerto Competition, performing under Michael Tilson Thomas.

Within her percussion study, Stephanie explores the art of soundmaking and extends it through electronics and composition. She recently presented her interactive installation La Reverbéracion Negra, where spectators triggered real-time sound processing and shifting projection, creating an audiovisual landscape that breathes and responds. This work laments the silent suffering of marine life caught in the violence of ongoing metallic pollution.

Passionate about chamber music, premiering new works, and solo repertoire, Stephanie aims to share her own and others’ art while inspiring others to do the same.
